(1994) Victory of Peter De Clercq ahead of Michel Cornelisse and the “local favorite” Chris Peers.
De Clercq, Peers and the Dutchman Cornelisse had broken away together. When Peter De Clercq attacked, Peers looked to the Dutchman. But Cornelisse did not respond and De Clercq went solo to victory. In the sprint for second place, Cornelisse managed to beat Peers.
